Shooting
Whether you call it shooting, striking, kicking, or passing, the ball must reach its intended target.
In football, accurate shooting is essential.
⚽️
A good way to learn how to shoot accurately is to practise against a wall.
Strike the ball gently and straight at the wall so that it comes back to your feet.
Once you have mastered this, you can increase the distance, add more power, or increase the speed of the exercise.

How to Shoot Accurately
Look at your target before you shoot and check whether there are any obstacles between the ball and your target.
There will usually be no obstacles during this exercise, but you should develop the habit of being aware of your surroundings. This will help you automatically scan the pitch during a match and be aware of the positions of your teammates and opponents.
⚽️
Place your plant foot next to the ball. Keep your head down and look at the ball. Lock your shooting ankle, then swing your leg through the ball.
Use your instep to generate power and keep your upper body slightly leaning forward so that the ball does not rise too high.

Passing the Ball Back
Playing the ball back to a teammate, often called a lay-off or wall pass, is a technique that can be used both offensively and defensively.
⚽️
It can be used to move the ball quickly from one player to another, helping to create space or break through defensive lines.
⚽️
In attack, a lay-off can be used to beat an opponent by passing the ball to a teammate and then receiving it back in a different position.
⚽️
In defence, quickly playing the ball to a teammate can help move the ball forward after winning possession.
⚽️
The effectiveness of a lay-off depends on the accuracy of the pass, the movement and speed of the players, and the communication between them.
⚽️
It can also be an important part of building an attack from the back.
⚽️
This is a technique that requires plenty of practice to master.
