Football Accessories
In addition to your training kit and football boots, there are a number of other items you may want or need to have. These include shin guards, sliding shorts, grip socks and a sports bra.

Shin Guards
Shin guards come in different sizes.
⚽️
If your shin guards are too large, they may slip down, which can be uncomfortable. If they are too small, they will not provide adequate protection.
That is why it is important to choose the right size and make sure they fit securely, so they do not distract you during training or a match.
⚽️
Shin guards are compulsory during matches. Whether they are required during training depends on your coach’s rules.
⚽️
Some players prefer not to wear shin guards during training. However, we believe that good equipment should protect you.
It is perfectly fine to leave your shin guards off during running exercises, for example. This can make the exercise more comfortable and allows your lower legs to move freely. However, as soon as you start playing duels, we recommend wearing them.
After all, training should prepare you for match conditions. Strong challenges and physical duels are part of football, and these can sometimes result in injuries.
⚽️
You certainly do not want to be the first player to leave the pitch with a serious injury that could have been less severe if you had been wearing shin guards.

Football Bag
A good football bag should be functional, durable and well organised, allowing you to transport all your football equipment safely and keep clean and dirty items separate.
⚽️
One of the most useful features of a good-quality football bag is a separate boot compartment. This keeps dirty football boots away from your clean clothes and other equipment.
⚽️
A separate boot compartment is especially useful for keeping muddy football boots away from your towel and clean clothing. Look for a bag with ventilation panels to help prevent unpleasant odours.
Choose a bag made from strong, hard-wearing materials such as water-resistant polyester.
Slidingbroek
Sliding Shorts
Sliding shorts are tight-fitting sports shorts worn underneath your regular football shorts. They help protect your upper legs from scrapes and skin irritation when sliding or going to ground.
They can also provide compression and support for the muscles, which may help reduce the risk of certain injuries and keep your muscles warm in cold weather.
⚽️
During matches, sliding shorts should be the same colour as your match shorts.
⚽️
Good sliding shorts should fit snugly against the skin without being too tight or restricting your movement.
Sport BH
Sports Bra
A good sports bra should first and foremost significantly reduce breast movement during exercise. This helps prevent pain and damage to breast tissue.
A good sports bra provides maximum support through a firm, non-riding underband and wide, adjustable straps that do not dig into the skin.
⚽️
It should also be moisture-wicking, breathable and seamless to help prevent irritation.
⚽️
Choosing the correct cup size and support level is essential for comfort and performance.
⚽️
The underband is the foundation of the sports bra. It should fit firmly but comfortably around the ribcage.
⚽️
The cups should fully contain the breasts without creating bulges or leaving gaps.
⚽️
A good sports bra should be made from breathable, moisture-wicking material.
⚽️
Wide shoulder straps help prevent the straps from digging into the skin.
⚽️
A firm back band provides additional stability while allowing freedom of movement.
⚽️
The required level of support depends on the intensity of the activity.
Level 1
Low Support / Light Support
Suitable for low-impact activities such as yoga, Pilates, walking and stretching.
⚽️
Level 2
Medium Support / Medium Impact
Suitable for activities such as cycling, skating, strength training and fitness.
⚽️
Level 3
High Support / High Impact
Suitable for activities such as cardio, running, horse riding, dance and HIIT.
⚽️
Level 4
Extreme Support
Maximum support for very high-impact sports such as football, kickboxing and sprinting.
⚽️
The larger the cup size, the more support may be needed, even during lower-impact activities.

Water Bottle
A water bottle is a resealable bottle specifically designed for use during exercise and sport.
⚽️
Drinking water during exercise is essential to replace fluids lost through sweating, maintain performance and prevent dehydration.
Good hydration helps regulate body temperature, reduce the risk of muscle cramps, delay fatigue and support concentration and coordination.
⚽️
Adequate hydration also helps prevent overheating and can help keep your heart rate under control.
⚽️
Always take a water bottle with you to the pitch.
If you are going for a long-distance run, a running bottle or handheld water bottle can be very useful. This means you do not have to carry a regular water bottle in your hand while running.

Kit Bag / Laundry Bag
Make sure that training bibs are washed regularly and stored in a suitable bag.
⚽️
A laundry bag or storage bag for training bibs is usually made from durable synthetic materials such as polyester, nylon or mesh.
These materials are breathable, strong and lightweight. Bags are often fitted with a drawstring or zip, making them ideal for storing and transporting clothing and training equipment.
⚽️
Dirty kit and training bibs should not be stored in a plastic bag for long periods. Plastic does not allow air to circulate and traps moisture. This creates a warm, damp environment that can encourage mould, unpleasant odours, discolouration and damage to the fabric.

Ball Bag / Ball Net
A ball bag or ball net is useful for transporting footballs to and from training sessions and matches.
Ball bags and nets for training equipment are usually made from durable synthetic materials such as polyester, nylon or mesh.
These materials are strong, lightweight and breathable, and they are often fitted with a drawstring, making them practical for carrying and storing footballs.
⚽️
The open, breathable construction of a ball net allows air to circulate between the footballs. This is particularly useful when the balls are wet after training or playing in wet conditions, as it helps prevent moisture from becoming trapped between them.
A ball net is therefore a simple and practical way to transport your footballs while allowing them to dry and helping prevent unpleasant smells and moisture-related problems.
