Individual Training
If you want to become a better footballer, you also need to train on your own
outside of your regular team sessions.
⚽️
This could include working on your technical skills, such as dribbling, passing,
shooting and feints. You can also work on your physical fitness, including your
speed and endurance.
You can also train your muscles at home or in the gym. This can help you shoot
harder, run faster and become stronger in physical duels.
⚽️
Being physically stronger allows you to handle more on the pitch and can also help
reduce the risk of injuries.
It is also important to be mentally strong.
This means being able to stay focused during a match, even when things are not
going your way.
Your mental resilience is therefore just as important as your physical fitness.
When you are mentally strong, you keep fighting for every ball and never give
up.

Training on Your Own
Training on your own requires perseverance and discipline.
You need to have a clear goal and be truly committed to achieving it. Without
genuine drive, it can be difficult to keep going and motivate yourself to train
consistently.
⚽️
There are various exercises you may be allowed to practise indoors, as long as the
ball stays on the floor.
Always ask your parents or guardian for permission first, and show them the
exercise you want to do.
Be sensible. If you are given permission to do a particular exercise, don't then start
kicking the ball around the room as hard as you can. If you break something, it may
be the last time you are allowed to train there — and that is not the intention.
⚽️
After all, practice means repetition, repetition, repetition.
You can get started with the different exercises yourself.
But if you don't know where to start, our training programme may be able to help
you.
Tips
Tips
Always stay focused. Keep your eyes on the ball and be aware of where your
opponents and teammates are.
⚽️
Recover quickly when you lose possession.
⚽️
Stay low and compact to maintain better balance and stability.
⚽️
Be fully committed in every training session and match, and get the very best out
of yourself.
⚽️
Keep challenging yourself and strive for perfection.
⚽️
Don't practise until you can do it; practise until you can't get it wrong.
⚽️
Football is played with more than just your legs — use your whole body.
⚽️
Don't stand flat-footed on the pitch. Stay on your toes so you can react more
quickly.
⚽️
Follow through with every shot on goal to generate more power behind your strike.
⚽️
Making mistakes is not a problem, but try to correct them and learn from them.
⚽️
Always be hungry for the ball and always play to win.
⚽️
Always train with intensity so that this becomes a habit for matches as well.
⚽️
Move with the ball, not with the player.
⚽️
If the attacker is right-footed, try to force them onto their left foot and towards the
corner.
Tips
Wees altijd gefocus.
