Team traingen
There are many different types of training exercises, ranging from exercises for
individual players to sessions involving the entire team.
During team training, you will generally follow the sessions planned by your coach.
These are often match-focused, with exercises designed to prepare the team for
specific situations that may occur during a match.
Training for 1.5 hours twice a week is actually far too little to maximise your
development. That is why it is recommended to complement your team training with
individual training.
Football is a team sport. You are not only training for yourself, but also for your
team.
If you are not there, your coach cannot properly recreate certain match situations
during training. Your teammates cannot practise playing the ball to you without
looking if you are not there, nor can they learn how you are likely to return the ball.
So don’t let your team down — make sure you turn up for training.
Team training
During team training, your coach will generally focus on what they believe the
TEAM needs to improve its performances in matches.
Training sessions are usually based on the most recently played match or on a
long-term objective.
Even if your team has won, there is always something that can be improved or
changed.
⚽️
If your team is competing for promotion, you may also face stronger opponents.
As a team, you need to be prepared for this challenge.
Your coach can design training exercises to help you deal with these stronger
opponents.
This could involve working on your defensive organisation, for example, or
focusing on your attacking play.
